Poem || hopefully Dreaming

She thought,
once in a dream
Of what could have been
and what have become

She kept her eyes closed
as long as she could
waiting for an answer
to unleash

She knew there wasn't any
coming to guide her
She knew waiting,
was helpless of her

She kept her eyes closed
hiding behind thin skin
She kept lying on her back
swimming in her own dreams

But hope lingered
behind her head
and with delicate fingers
hope played with the strings
